This is the best present I got for my newborn. I ended up buying several patterns. It’s big, but super light so great for swaddling without overheating. As my kids got older, we used it for a blanket on chilly airplanes, it folds up so nice and fits in a carry-on. It’s been a picnic blanket, a tea party tablecloth, and so much more.

I Can't Review It If I Don't Have It.
I purchased the Chicago Bean blanket for a baby shower over a month before needing it. It still isn't here. USPS says it is delayed. When I contacted Hometown the first time, they told me to contact USPS. When I contacted them a second time, they told me that they had them in stock if I wanted to order another one, but couldn't guarantee it would arrive in time for the shower. I know my fault for waiting to complain, but I now I know that there is a pile of these blankets in Austin and I can't get one! I am not going to purchase another one, when I haven't been refunded to the missing item yet.
I'm sure I would give a glowing review, if I only had something to actually review. Poor customer service.
Amendment: after a few email exchanges, I was refunded for the order that never arrived, I have changed the 1 star rating to a 3.
In terms of 'poor customer service', I responded to your first email less than an hour after receiving it (at 11PM). You then waited 3 days to send your follow up upon which I told you it wasFriday going into a national holiday and we couldn't get it to you in 3 business days but made clear that I could either refund your order or ship you a new one.
We don't control the USPS. All I can control is responding quickly and fully and make sure that customers don't get charged for items they don't receive. As I responded immediately in both emails you sent.

I bought this as a baby shower gift for my nephew and his wife. The gender of their baby will be a surprise at the child’s birth. This design works well regardless of the child’s gender. My nephew and his wife are moving to Michigan (where she grew up) prior to their child’s birth so I was looking for a gift that would go along with this change in their lives. Needless to say it went over exceptionally well. Also want to add , they only use natural materials in their home and on their bodies, so this 100% organic cotton muslin material was perfect.
I bought this as a gift. After reading all the reviews, I really expected something different. While the pictures and colors are bright, the actual weight of the blanket floored me! It’s slightly thicker than cheesecloth. It is thin! I read what the fabrication is and can only hope that it will soften upon washing and use and not fall apart. I, almost, feel embarrassed giving this to the couple and had to purchase an actual baby blanket. I understand it’s to swaddle the baby but was not expecting it to be this flimsy. At least the burp cloth is doubled. Disappointed.
